Today’s laugh of the day is provided by Page Six, which has an item saying Dick Ebersol would love to become the next commissioner of baseball after Bud Selig. If the former national pastime isn’t in enough trouble … what would he do, bring the Strat-O-Matic twins, Costas and Olbermann, to be his deputies?  MLB has enough issues without ringing someone who has more people in studio for a pregame than the show practically has viewers. Just think the folks on the West Coast could look forward to the first "plausibly live" postseason. And, MLB.com will be set back decades from the state-of-the-art technology it currently employs. As Phil Mushnick of the New York Post is quick to remind people: this is the man who jumped on board with the XFL.
