we would have seen it over and over and over. Sunday, A-Rod’s heads-up play saved the day in the ninth inning of the Yankees’ 2-1 win over the Athletics. Bobby Abreu lost a fly ball in the sun, caught it and dropped it. Abreu then threw to second to try and force Ryan Sweeney. The throw went over Derek Jeter’s head, but a heads-up A-Rod was backing up the play and quickly flipped it to Jeter for the force. For some reason, the play didn’t make these highlights.

The Boy Toy is obviously learning from Madonna how to be in the right place at the right time. Too bad he still hits like a virgin with two outs and men in scoring position. In that regard Jeter is still a stud, overhyped PR or no.
