Will Jeremy Shockey arrive quietly at Giant training camp? Or will he show up and make himself a distraction? Or will he just stay away? The New York Daily News touches on the issue and there appear to be more questions than answers. For all of the tight end’s talent, the team won the Super Bowl without him and doesn’t need a migraine heading into camp or the season. The time has come for Shockey to grow up or for Big Blue to send him packing. One wonders whether Bill Parcells would have any interest in Shockey. The Dolphins are not exactly overflowing with talent at tight end, Shockey was a Miami Hurricane and the Fish just grabbed a second-round pick from the Redskins for Jason Taylor. Wonder if Tuna would give Jerry Reese a call to see if Shockey could be had for a second-round pick or a bit more? Shockey could be a centerpiece for a rebuilding Dolphin offense and would also eliminate a Giant headache in New Jersey.
