Yankee catcher Jorge Posada is facing the knife. That is the risk you take when you give a 36-year-old catcher a four-year contract. Michael Kay made great point on radio show yesterday that if Posada doesn’t do it now, he could be lost for a good portion of next season. Seems the time is right to get it done and be ready for a fresh start. Seems the Red Sox and Yankees are both learning about the effect that years of catching have on a catcher’s body.
