Two out of three ain’t bad
July 27th, 2008
If you are a Yankee fan. And one out of three is far from desirable at home, but it sure beats a sweep. The Yankees and Red Sox are poised to wrest control of the AL East from the struggling Rays. Papi going deep had to comfort Red Sox Nation. Yankee Universe had to be happy with gaining a game on the Red Sox, but couldn’t have been thrilled to see Sidney Ponson melt down in the humidity. Big guy just didn’t look comfortable. Manny, oh Manny, what to do with Ramirez. His two doubles show you exactly why he is worth all the trouble. So, we turn the page to August later this week and they are ready to stage another duel ’til October. Any more moves in the Cashman-Epstein chess match? As always, don’t take your eyes off the ballgame.
