Sprint double gold for Usain Bolt
August 20th, 2008
Jamaican lightning Usain Bolt has done it again. And in record fashion, again. Bolt flashed to victory in the 200 meters in Beijing in 19.30 seconds. That breaks the record Michael Johnson set in Atlanta in 1996. How fast is this Bolt? How about he finished .52 seconds ahead of silver medalist Churandy Martina of Netherlands Antilles. Martina was disqualified for running out of his lane, giving the silver and bronze to U.S. runners Shawn Crawford and Walter Dix, respectively. Have to wonder if Jerry Jones of the Cowboys is watching and will look to sign the 6-5, 200-pound blazer to replicate the success Dallas had with Bullet Bob Hayes, the world’s fastest human in the ’60s. That Bolt is a blur.
