NASCAR has a good ol’ rivalry
August 24th, 2008
Make no mistake about it: when Carl Edwards did the bump-and-run thing to Kyle Busch and went on to victory in the Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, it crystalized a budding rivalary in NASCAR. Choose sides, folks: the heel/villain would be KB, who wins and wins and wins, 17 on the three NASCAR levels this season (Sprint, Nationwide, Truck). And the face/pretty boy is Edwards, although we think he has a little heel in him. Either way, this is exactly what NASCAR wants, polarizing stars. This translates into fans getting involved, fired up and buying merchandise. Call it Wrestlemania at 200 mph every week. Choose your hero.
