The Commodores ran off 21 straight points after looking awful in the first half — 50 yards offense — and surprised the Ol’ Ball Coach and his Gamecocks. Interesting item is that Brandon Barden the tight end on Vanderbilt who caught a 31-yard touchdown pass is a transfer from Virginia Tech. Barden apparently switched schools after the terrible shootings that left 32 dead. Timing makes it seem as if Barden started college at Virginia Tech in spring and took part in spring practice and that is what had him on campus in Apri for the tragedy.  A Washington Post report said: Barden lived at Ambler Johnston Hall, where two students were shot dead. Soon after, he decided to transfer to another school
