LPGA fails English test
September 5th, 2008
After one of the most foolish demands in recent sports history, the LPGA has backed off its demand that would have led to suspensions if players weren’t able to conduct interviews in English. Next step should be for the LPGA to can the fools who came up with the thought. It is hard enough for them to get any publicity at all in the overcrowded sports market and the come up with a doozy of a disastrous idea. The person or people who had enough time to think up a foolish idea like this should be updating their resume and sending it out. This is as insulting in a different way as the noose cover was on Golfweek magazine. The powers that be in golf might want to pull their elitist noses out of the air and do a reality check. Quickly.
