Mariners nearly no-hit Yankees

The Seattle Mariners are beyond awful. Yet, Brandon Morrow almost no-hit the Yankees on Friday, going 7 2/3 innings before Wilson Betimit broke it up with an RBI double. Morrow is a reliever the Mariners are converting into a starter. Here’s what it means: dead, dead, dead, the playoff streak is dead. Enough with the mathematics. So, so tired. The streak was great. So was the Atlanta Braves’. Look ahead. We don’t want anymore dreaming on, because these dreams are not coming true in the Bronx. When is someone going to wonder aloud about the job Joe Girardidid this season. Know it is his first year, but have to wonder exactly how things are in the clubhouse. Just wondering.
