Terrell Owens saves the day

ESPN.com writer Sam Alipour was hit by a car after the ESPYs taping last week. Alipour writes, "Terrell Owens was standing over me. I’m told he was the first do-gooder on the scene of the accident. That he helped me to my feet and off the street to safe ground. That he didn’t leave my side. It seems the mercurial Dallas Cowboys receiver is my hero. …"

T.O. comes up big. Remember that the next time you think you want to boo him or curse him out, okay?

Only thing that strikes us odd is that the story doesn’t appear on ESPN.com until Monday, the day after the ESPYs are on TV. Is this ESPN’s version of plausibly live news?
