No Tiger in British Open ratings tank

No one person is bigger than…no one player is bigger than a sport. Well, that won’t stand up in golf. Tiger Woods won the British Open by not being there. According to the Los Angeles Times, the overnight ratings for Sunday’s final round — even with the Greg Norman drama — dropped 14.6% from 4.1 to 3.5. The same story also informs us that next year the tournament will be only on cable as ESPN will show it, snapping a 50-year run on ABC.
