Rutgers’ secret deal with Greg Schiano
July 23rd, 2008
Looks like if you can bring home a winner in New Jersey you can get whatever you want. The Star-Ledger reports that Rugers has secret deals with football coach Greg Schiano that would allow him to leave without penalty if an expansion of the football stadium isn’t done by 2009. Nothing like putting a college football coach on a throne. He had one exceptional year and the team is far more comeptitive than ever, but is Greg Schiano the Vince Lombardi of college football coaches? Maybe he is after the horror that was Rutgers football before he got there. Still, secret deals stink and coaches leave when they want to leave. Ask West Virginia, re: Rich Rodriguez.
