Tim Russert Highway in Buffalo

Nice gesture as President Bush signs a bill that renames a section of Route 20A near Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park after the late, great NBC News Washington bureau chief Tim Russert,. Sen. Charles E. Schumer weighed in: "Tim Russert was in every way, Mr. Buffalo," Schumer said. "With his trademark ("Meet The Press")  ’Go Bills’ sign-off, Tim Russert showed his pride for the city that made him who he was. He always cared about Buffalo, and when I spoke with him just a few weeks ago he said he would do everything he could to keep the Bills in Buffalo."

Now if someone can only do something about the flirtation the Bills are having with Toronto. One game is headed there and one can only wonder if the team is wondering about moving further north on a permanent basis. Would be terrible to have a road paying tribute to Russert and no team there.
