They’ve come a long way, baby
Well, women are proving they every bit the equal in sports when it comes to being bad sports. First, there is Danica Bratrick and her storming around IRL like she thinks she is A.J. Foyt in his prime. This week’s episdode with Milka Duno is fit No. 3. And then there was Tuesday night’s battle royale between the Detroit Shock and Los Angeles Sparks. The sad thing is that the WNBA will get more visibility out of the melee than anything else it does all year. They say any publicity is good publicity but not sure that is the case here for WNBA, which staged an outdoor game over the weekend that didn’t quite create the stir the Winter Classic did for the NHL. And on Sunday, the ABC announcers almost seemed to apologize for bringing up Danica during the race because she was lagging so far back in the pack.
