Yankees-Red Sox: here they go again
The focus will be on Fenway Park this weekend as the surging Yankees face the hated rival Red Sox at Fenway Park. Throw David Ortiz’s return into the mix and you add another spice to an always volatile battle. Both teams are off on Thursday. With the Rays playing at night, the Sox will either be a game out or tied for first. Yanks, three or four back.
The Yankees have split 46 road games, while the Red Sox have won 36 of 47 at home, second to the Rays’ brilliant 40-16 heading into the game with the Royals on Thursday. So, it is time to put the baseball gloves on for three rounds of heavyweight action. Will the Yankees roll into Beantown and extend their six-game winning streak or will the Bosox, who won three straight in Seattle as a prep, take them down — hard.
Here are the matchups: Friday, Joba (3-2, 2.52) vs. Josh (9-8, 3.98), Saturday, (11-7, 3.86) vs. Tim the Knuckler (6-7, 3.69) and Sunday night in the ESPN Main Event, TBA vs. Jon the No-Hitter (8-3, 2.20).So will it be a knockout or split decision? Speak up and put ‘em up.
