‘Banzai’ finish revs up NASCAR
September 28th, 2008
Carl Edwards took his best shot. And this car took a shot against the wall on the final lap, allowing Jimmie Johnson to win at Kansas in a fun-filled, fantastic finish. Edwards drove down hard in an attempt to pass the "48." The move worked except what goes down must come up. The "99" shot up the bank, into the wall and Johnson drove by to victory. Edwards held for second in what was a race that gave NASCAR fans exactly what they wanted: EXCITEMENT!
